Which towns do we cover in County Armagh?
Most of County Armagh is supplied with soft water. That leaves you free to choose matt black, brushed brass or clear glass without worrying much about limescale. Hardness varies street by street, so check the figure for your postcode with your water supplier. Landlords with flats or houses in Craigavon can supply their own standard suites and have them fitted between tenancies.
What the job includes
- Fitting the suite, furniture, screen and accessories, then silicone, testing and a clean handover
- Electrical work by a qualified electrician where lights, a fan or a shaver socket are changing
- Boarding, tanking in the shower area and tiling labour, with tiles and adhesive from you or sourced by us
- A check of your product list against the room and the plumbing before the job is booked
- First and second-fix plumbing: supplies, wastes, isolation valves and the connection to the soil stack
- Unpacking and checking delivered items before day one, so damage or missing parts can go back to the seller early
Decisions to make first
Making good
Decide whether you want the quote to cover making good and decorating, or to stop at the tiles so you can paint yourself.
Fit-only or supply and fit
Fit-only lets you choose and buy every product yourself; supply and fit puts sourcing, deliveries and returns on us, with one price for everything.
Same layout or new
Keeping the layout keeps labour in the £2,200 to £4,000 range; moving the WC, shower or basin adds pipework and days.
Delivery timing
Having everything delivered and checked before the start date avoids a half-finished room while a missing part is sent again.
Rules that apply in Northern Ireland
When you supply the products, you are responsible for them being complete, undamaged and suitable, and a claim for a faulty item goes to the retailer or manufacturer you bought it from. We are responsible for the fitting, which under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 must be carried out with reasonable care and skill. Products must also meet the water fittings rules where you live, including a maximum 6-litre flush for new WCs and backflow protection, so we raise anything that looks non-compliant before fitting it.
In Northern Ireland, the Water Supply (Water Fittings) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2009 apply to supplied products, and building control covers new drainage and ventilation. Electrical work follows BS 7671 good practice, with testing and a certificate.
