Working in Ystalyfera

We work right across Ystalyfera — SA9 — and in neighbouring Neath and Clydach.

Being a smaller town does not change how we work in Ystalyfera: free survey, written quote, one team. If you have bought a suite and need it fitted in Ystalyfera, we check the product list before booking so the job is not held up by a missing part. We survey in Ystalyfera before quoting fit-only work, so the soil stack, supplies and walls are checked against the products you have chosen.

Water across much of Powys is soft. That leaves you free to choose matt black, brushed brass or clear glass without worrying much about limescale. Hardness varies street by street, so check the figure for your postcode with your water supplier.

What the job includes

Fitting the suite, furniture, screen and accessories, then silicone, testing and a clean handover
A check of your product list against the room and the plumbing before the job is booked
First and second-fix plumbing: supplies, wastes, isolation valves and the connection to the soil stack
Strip-out of the old suite and tiles, and removal of the waste

Decisions to make first

Who buys the materials

Adhesive, grout, boards, tanking, wastes and fixings can come from you or from us. The quote says which, so nothing is assumed.

Delivery timing

Having everything delivered and checked before the start date avoids a half-finished room while a missing part is sent again.

Rules that apply in Wales

Wales uses the same water fittings regulations as England but has its own Part P with a wider notifiable list, so more of the electrical side of a refit needs notifying. A registered electrician handles this and gives you the certificate.

How long does bathroom fitting take?

Allow 4–8 working days on site for most jobs, plus the lead time for products after you approve the quote. We give you a day-by-day plan before work starts in Ystalyfera.

Is the home survey in Ystalyfera really free?

Yes. We visit, measure the room, check the pipework, drainage and electrics, and talk through what you want. You then get a written, itemised quote with no obligation to go ahead.

Who is responsible if a product I supplied is faulty?

If you bought the product, a fault with it is a matter for the retailer or manufacturer that sold it to you. We are responsible for our fitting work. If a fault shows up during fitting, we stop, show you, and help you describe it to the seller; fitting a replacement part can add labour, which we agree with you first.
